Herbalist is a career you can assign to your villager. Herbalists grow seeds in pots to make plants for Doctors and Alchemists.
Herbalists start out with 50% mastery of each seed - that is to say, they have a 50% chance of succeeding or failing at harvesting. Each successful harvest increases their mastery by 5%, so after 10 successful harvests, they will never fail to harvest a specific seed. Mastery level of each seed, and the number of total harvest of each seed, are kept in the Herbalist's Seed Book, which is accessible above the planting space on their career page.
Herbalists start out with 10 planting spaces, but have the option of expanding that with Herbalist Pots. Up to 90 additional pots can be added, to bring the total planting spaces to 100. Note that three explorers only find enough seeds, on average, for between 30-40 pots, so pots beyond that are necessary only if buying seeds from user stalls.
Each Village on FurVilla has eight unique seeds for a Herbalist to plant: 2 common, 2 uncommon, 2 rare, and 2 super rare. They are currently all found by Exploring.
The following costumes give a +5% total yield bonus when applied to a villager of the Herbalist career:
