The Capybuddy event can occur randomly while a villager is exploring, it's not limited to a specific village.
"While exploring in the forest you hear a cacophony of chirps and twitters in the distance, interlaced with the sound of splashing. Should you investigate?"
"You find the noisy gathering beside a waterhole, it’s a nesting herd of capybuddies! Some parents are tending nests full of eggs and pups, while others are playing in the water. They seem friendly, maybe you can convince one to come with you?"

|"You boldly march forth, letting the capybuddies know you're there. But you severely misjudged how far away the lake was, and you tumble headfirst into it with a splash. You startled the whole herd and as soon as you pull yourself out of the water, they mob you. You manage to flee, but not without a bunch of peck marks and bites."||Nothing|
|"You boldly march forth, letting the capybuddies know you're there. You captured the attention of every animal in the area, and thankfully, your hunch was right about their friendliness. A few of them crowd around you, sniffing your paws, then suddenly a little yellow bird hops up and lands on your shoulder. A red-brown buddy is looking up at you lovingly. Looks like you made some friends!"||Random Capybuddy|

|"You crouch down and come forward slowly, trying not to startle the capybuddies. Your slow movements seem to have the opposite effect that you wanted, and the tweets and chirps turn into shrill shrieks. The capybuddies are making an aggressive-sounding bark noise. They must think you’re some kind of lurking predator. Better leave before they attack!"||Nothing|
|"You crouch down and come forward slowly, trying not to startle the capybuddies. The buddies watch you warily, but they aren’t showing aggression so this is going well! A group of young capybuddies approach and curiously nudge at you. A little brown bird jumps up and sits on your head, then bends down over your forehead to look at your face upside-down. It seems to like its new spot, and doesn’t leave when you start moving. Its silvery buddy is following you. Maybe this means you made some new friends?"||Random Capybuddy|
|"When in Foxbury, do as the Foxburians do! You try to mimic a song you hear one of the birds singing. Unfortunately, the capybuddies think your singing is terrible and they voice their discontent. The whole herd erupts into bird shrieks and high-pitched whinnies, so loud it’s almost deafening. You try to cover your ears as much as possible and leave before you get hearing loss."||Nothing|
|"When in Foxbury, do as the Foxburians do! You try to mimic a song you hear one of the birds singing. They watch in confusion for a few moments before one bird starts to sing, followed by another, then another. Some buddies rear onto their hind leg and start to twirl and hop about. It looks like dancing! One pair in particular seems to have really taken a shine to the party you started."||Random Capybuddy|
